| I am trying to come up with a compelling argument one way or the other. Does anyone know a rough figure for parts to rebuild my engine including the heads? I see that a Stage 2 IPP long block runs $3,850 plus shipping and core charge. I have three thoughts swirling through my head. 1) Just start pulling the engine and buy the parts to do it myself. 2)Buy the long block. Send my core back and assume I'll get the core charge back. 3)Send the core first and ask them to rebuild that one. (I don't even know if they would do this.) I have know interest in buying a "good, low mileage, JDM engine. Compression test at blah, blah, blah..." If I was forced to do so, I would assume it needs to be rebuilt as well. I'm going to have to do something, because I can't in good conscience even sell this car until this problem is fixed, and after this kind of expense I'll be keeping it long term. Let me know your thoughts. Thanks.
